Junk removal basics

How does junk removal work?

It is simple. You call or book online, we give you an arrival window, and our uniformed crew arrives, looks at your items, and gives you a firm price. Once you approve it, we do all the lifting, loading, and hauling. You point, we remove.

What items do you take?

We take just about anything you would find in a standard household that is not flammable or hazardous. That includes appliances, refrigerators and freezers, couches and other furniture, mattresses, clothing, and the contents of cabinets and closets, along with construction debris. On the commercial side we handle desks, chairs, office partitions, boats, loose residential and commercial trash, bagged waste, overflowing bins, and illegal dumping cleanup. We also remove sheds, swing sets, and playground structures. If it does not take heavy machinery to move, there is a good chance we can take it.

What won't you take?

We cannot take flammable or hazardous materials such as chemicals, paint, motor oil, propane, asbestos, or medical waste, and we cannot work in genuinely unsafe conditions like open gas lines or exposed electrical wiring. If you are unsure about an item, call us at (404) 558-6493 and we will let you know.

How much does junk removal cost?

There is no flat rate, because jobs range from a single box to a full house or storage unit cleanout. Pricing is custom and based on how much space your items take up on the truck and how long the removal takes our crew. Jobs start at a $175 minimum, and you always get a firm price before any work begins.

Do you offer same-day or next-day service?

Yes. We keep a same-day or next-day guarantee on both junk removal and dumpster drop-offs, based on availability, and we have held that standard for years. We are closed on Sundays, so a Saturday call means a same-day or Monday appointment.

How long does a typical job take?

Most pickups take about 30 to 45 minutes on site, and many are faster. Larger jobs such as a full home or storage unit cleanout take longer, but the majority of jobs are smaller than people expect.

Do I need to move everything outside first?

You do not need to move anything ahead of time. We are a full-service junk removal company, so our crew comes inside and removes items from wherever they sit, whether that is a basement, an attic, or an upstairs room. The only exception is genuinely unsafe conditions such as open gas lines or exposed wiring.

Is it cheaper to do it myself?

Doing it yourself is usually cheaper on paper, since your only costs are the dump fee, a rental truck, and your time. Hiring our crew costs a little more because the price covers disposal, fuel, trained labor, and the equipment to do the job safely and in one trip. What you are really paying for is your time back and none of the lifting or hauling.

Do you donate or recycle what you haul?

We run a landfill diversion program and do not use landfills. Loads go to transfer stations, recycling centers, and scrap yards, where salvageable items are pulled out, metal is recovered and recycled, construction debris is often milled into mulch or building material, tires become rubber playground mulch, and yard waste is turned into wood chips. We donate usable items to local charities when a load allows it. Because most jobs are mixed loads, individual pieces are not always in donatable condition by the time they reach the truck, but keeping material out of the landfill is central to how we work.

Can I drop items off, or do you offer free or weekly pickup?

No to both. We are a full-service junk removal company, not a drop-off site, so there is no facility to bring items to, and we do not offer free pickup, recurring service, or weekly trash collection. If you would rather load at your own pace, our dumpster rentals are the do-it-yourself option: we drop one off, you load it, and we haul it away.

How is junk removal priced?

By volume and labor. We base the price on how much space your items take up on the truck and how long the removal takes our crew, not on an hourly rate. That keeps pricing fair and predictable.

What is the minimum charge?

Our minimum is $175, which covers one or two small items. From there the price scales with the size of the load, up to a full truck.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. Your quote includes labor, loading, hauling, and disposal. The price we give you upfront is the price you pay, as long as the load matches what we quoted.

How do I get an exact price?

Every job starts with a free, no-obligation quote. We assess the volume and the access when we arrive, give you a firm upfront price, and only begin once you approve it. No hidden fees and no surprises.

Do you offer same-day service?

Yes. We keep a same-day or next-day guarantee on both junk removal and dumpster drop-offs, based on availability, and we have held that standard for years. We are closed on Sundays, so a Saturday call means a same-day or Monday appointment.

Will I get a price before you start?

What dumpster sizes do you offer and how do I choose?

We offer 10, 15, 20, and 25 yard roll-off dumpsters. An easy way to picture it is one washing machine per cubic yard, so a 10 yard holds about 10 washing machines and a 20 yard about 20. By dimension, the 10 yard is 12ft long by 7.5ft wide by 4ft tall, the 15 yard is 16ft by 7.5ft by 4ft, the 20 yard is 16ft by 7.5ft by 5ft, and the 25 yard is 16ft by 7.5ft by 6ft.

What size should I get if I am not sure?

When in doubt, size up. People usually underestimate how much space their items take, and a little extra room costs far less than running out and needing a second haul. If you are deciding between two sizes, go with the larger one.

How much does a dumpster rental cost?

Our 10, 15, 20, and 25 yard dumpsters start at $378, $428, $443, and $486 for a 1 to 7 day rental, and each includes free drop-off, pickup, and its own disposal weight: 2,000 pounds on the 10 yard, 3,000 pounds on the 15 and 20 yard, and 4,000 pounds on the 25 yard.

What is included in the weight limit?

Each size includes its own disposal weight: 2,000 pounds on the 10 yard, 3,000 pounds on the 15 and 20 yard, and 4,000 pounds on the 25 yard. If your load goes over, the overage is 5 cents per pound, billed after weigh-in. Drop-off and pickup are always free.

How long can I keep the dumpster?

Standard rentals run up to 7 days, and flexible periods are available on request. Tell us your timeline when you book and we will work around your project.

Should I rent a dumpster or book junk removal?

Both work, and it comes down to who does the loading. With a dumpster we drop it off, you load it on your own schedule, and we haul it away. With full-service junk removal our crew does all the loading, and because we are experienced at packing a truck we can often fit more into less space. Choose junk removal if you want it handled start to finish, or a dumpster if you would rather load at your own pace.

What can't go in a rental dumpster?

No liquids, chemicals, paint, oils, batteries, propane tanks, medical waste, or anything hazardous. Concrete, brick, stone, dirt, sand, gravel, and asphalt are also prohibited in every size; that debris goes through our concrete removal service instead. Tires can go in for a $20 per tire fee. If you are unsure about an item, call us at (404) 558-6493 before delivery.

Can I fill the dumpster above the top?

No. Keep the load level at or below the top rail. An overloaded container is unsafe to lift, and the driver has to refuse it until it is cleared to a safe level. You get 15 minutes after being notified to bring the load down.

Do I need a permit for a dumpster?

On your own driveway or private property, no. On a public street or right-of-way, your city may require one, and getting it is the renter's responsibility before delivery day. Tell us where the dumpster will sit when you book and we will point you to the right office to ask.

Can your crew load the dumpster for me?

Yes. If you would rather not lift anything, our technicians can load the container for you at $150 per hour with a two hour minimum. Ask when you book so we can schedule the crew with the delivery.
